1. Nākotnes izglītības forums 2026 “Kā veidot izglītību jēgpilnu?” / Future of Education Forum 2026: How Do We Make Education Relevant?

(ENG) Future of Education Forum 2026 grew out of conversations that began in Bauska in 2025 and became an international forum within the Leadership Quest project. Young people, educators, parents, community representatives and experts came together to discuss leadership, youth participation, inclusion and human-centred education. The forum brought together intergenerational dialogue, active youth involvement and collaboration between organisations to explore the future of meaningful education.

2. Izglītība ir kopīga atbildība: jauniešu ietekmes svarīgums / Education Is a Shared Responsibility: Why Youth Participation Matters

(ENG) Young people’s experiences are essential to conversations about education: they are experiencing it now, and it shapes their future. At the forum, young people helped prepare and deliver the event, took part in discussions, and joined an international panel on meaningful and inclusive education. The future of education takes shape when young people and adults listen to one another and share responsibility.

3. Territory Mapping: no pašizziņas līdz cilvēkcentrētai izglītībai / Territory Mapping: From Self-Awareness to Human-Centred Education

(ENG) Territory Mapping helps people visually explore their experiences, values, sense of belonging and future direction. This approach supports self-awareness, mutual understanding and collaboration, and can also be used in learning. Alongside academic knowledge, human-centred education helps children and young people understand themselves, their place in the community and their responsibility for the future.

4. Vairāk nekā darbnīca: sarunas, kas palīdz saprast izglītību / More Than a Workshop: Conversations That Help Us Understand Education

Šādi dalībnieki mācījās cits no cita un kopīgi veidoja jaunas atziņas.

(ENG) Intergenerational conversations bring different experiences and perspectives together to build a shared understanding of education. In the forum’s interactive workshops, participants discussed, took part in practical activities and reflected on leadership, communication, wellbeing and the future of education. They learned from one another and developed new insights together.

Kā foruma pieredze turpinās

(LV) Forums bija daļa no projekta partneru kopīgās mācīšanās.

How the Forum Experience Continues

(ENG) The forum was part of the project partners’ shared learning. After meeting in Latvia, the partner organisations continued reflecting on how to apply the insights gained and the Territory Mapping approach in their work.

The Lithuanian partner, MB Connecting Dots, refined its vision and approach to working with students and young people, including young people with migrant backgrounds in Lithuania. Project participant Kamilė will bring this work and these conversations into Bonds Community, an organisation for immigrants and young people with migrant backgrounds, and plans to use Territory Mapping and the experience gained during the exchange in its work.

The Czech partner, Blízký soused, concluded that before using Territory Mapping with its community and Roma young people, it needs to strengthen its team, leadership and shared understanding of its goals. The experience gained through certification and peer learning helped the partner develop a broader understanding of community needs and identify areas of its organisational work that need strengthening.

Impulss Latvia is also working to continue the forum in future seasons and after the project ends. International cooperation and conversations about meaningful education continued in Birmingham: on 21 September 2026, a ten-person Latvian delegation, together with Impulsum, attended Dupoto’s Future of Education: Making Education Relevantconference. The discussions continued to explore how education can help children and young people understand themselves, their sense of belonging, and how to live and shape their future. Cooperation with colleagues in the UK also expanded the partners’ network and opportunities for future collaboration.
