International Partner Visit and Exchange
(ENG) From 12 to 17 April 2026, Leadership Quest partners met in Latvia for an exchange visit. It brought together 25 participants from Latvia, Lithuania and Czechia, including youth workers, educators, NGO representatives and youth facilitators. Young people with fewer opportunities also took part in the workshops. The visit was organised by Impulss Latvia with Lithuanian partner MB Connecting Dots and Czech partner Blízký soused.
The programme combined learning about the Territory Mapping approach, leadership workshops and intercultural exchange. Participants tried out the project’s leadership card deck in practice for the first time in an international setting and shared feedback on its use in work with young people. The activities aimed to develop leadership, teamwork and reflection skills. Of the 25 participants, 10 youth workers, educators and NGO representatives received Territory Mapping certification, while 13 youth facilitators learned the method and received Youthpass.
The partners also met local youth organisations in the Bauska area. At the Laiks Jauniešiem youth centre, they took part in activities with young people, including cultural exchange and shared leadership learning. Participants also had the opportunity to meet the creators of Territory Mapping and learn directly from the original authors of the methodology.
During the exchange visit, the partners also attended Future of Education Forum 2026, which brought together people from different generations and areas of education on 16 April. [Explore the forum and its conversations.]
The experience continues in the partners’ work. MB Connecting Dots refined its approach to working with students and young people, including young people with migrant backgrounds. Project participant Kamilė plans to use Territory Mapping and the experience gained during the exchange in her work with Bonds Community. The Czech partner, Blízký soused, concluded that before using the approach with communities and Roma young people, it needs to strengthen its team, leadership and shared understanding of its goals.
The exchange was documented to support the sharing and future use of the project’s experience and results. The activities took place in accessible settings, with reduced printing, recycled materials and careful use of resources.
